Download our free printable practice sheet with the shapes laid out for you. Print it, fill your piping bag, and have a go before you do the real thing.

Each shape has a photo of how it looks on a real cake, a one line instruction, and outlines to trace over. There's a QR code on every page that takes you to the video tutorial if you'd rather watch someone do it first.

How to use it

1. Print all three pages at home on A4
2. Pop them under baking paper if you want to reuse them
3. Fill your piping bag with buttercream and trace the shapes
4. Scrape the icing back into the bowl and go again
5. When it feels right, move to the cake
